“How do I join AMSA?”
In cooperation with our national organization, you must register as a pre-med member of National AMSA to join our chapter. Fill out the registration form below, pay your dues, and email our treasurer when you’re ready to pick up your club t-shirt!
“How much are dues?”
Along with registering as a member through National AMSA, first time members must also pay the $75 required by them. Returning members pay dues of $35 every year afterwards, which can be paid for via cash/check to our Treasurer.
“What are the benefits of joining?”
Unlike any other pre-health organization on campus, our chapter is part of a nationally recognized association with groups in both undergrad and medical schools. We offer our members opportunities to strengthen all aspects of their medical school applications, instead of just volunteering, just research, etc. Our members can count on us to be the “one stop shop” for all of their premed questions and needs.
“Why are the dues this expensive?”
The dues for new members is a fee implemented by National AMSA, which are used to continue the organization’s developments and community partnerships. In terms of our UCF chapter, the dues are given back to you in the form of our events and discounts on MCAT prep courses, worth well over the initial $75 or $35 you paid.
“What if I went to an event and my points are not showing in the log?”
If it has been less than two weeks since the event, we may still be in the process of putting in your points. If it has been more than two weeks since the event, you can either email ChiefofStaff@premedamsa.com or email the director that was in charge of that event to confirm your points.
“What if I have class/work during the meeting times?”

“Where is the AMSA Cube?”
Head up to the second floor of the Student Union and turn left at the top of the stairs! We are located in the Office of Student Involvement, where the employees at the front desk can direct you to our cubicle.
“Is there a GPA requirement to join?”
No, we have an open door policy and welcome all students with an interest in becoming a physician!
