Outside of AMSA, he works in clinical research at Lake Nona and is passionate about creating opportunities that help pre-medical students grow academically and professionally. Krish Ghosalkar joined AMSA in his freshman year as a clinical experiences director and advanced to a presidential director his sophomore year. Last year, he was Treasurer. Krish is involved with research in microbial genomics and various forms of community service. In his free time, he enjoys watching movies, trying new food, and reading!

Rohan Sunkara

Biology and Health Sciences ('27) / Medical Sociology

Rohan Sunkara is pursuing a double major in Biology and Health Sciences, with a minor in Medical Sociology, and is set to graduate in 2027. He first joined AMSA his freshman year and became a Civic Health director his junior year. He has a strong passion for social justice and health care reform, as seen in his volunteer work at Shepherd’s Hope. In his free time, he likes to hang out with friends, watch movies, and build Legos.

Brian joined AMSA his freshman year and went on to serve as a Volunteering Director in his junior year. He is involved in research exploring the impact of physical activity on mental and social well-being and volunteers with multiple organizations throughout Orlando. In his free time, Brian enjoys hanging out with friends, golfing, fishing, and playing intramural sports.

Mia joined AMSA her sophomore year as a Volunteering Director and became Presidential Director her junior year. She enjoys marine biology events and is passionate about working with children, often participating in outreach opportunities that support the youth in her community. Outside of AMSA, she loves spending time with her family and enjoys music, anime, and traveling!

Diya joined AMSA her freshman year as Knight-Thon Director and later served as Global Health Director her sophomore year. She volunteers at ORMC and is passionate about global health and giving back to communities through service, which has led her to participate in multiple service learning trips. In her free time, Diya enjoys traveling, going to concerts, and spending time with friends.

Emily joined AMSA as a freshman and served as Marketing Director in her sophomore year. She is passionate about promoting inclusion, healthcare advocacy, and creating a welcoming environment where all students feel supported in pursuing a career in medicine. Outside of AMSA, Emily enjoys spending time with family and friends, staying active, traveling, and challenging herself with puzzles and new activities.
