Sophia started her pre-med journey with AMSA three years ago by joining their Knight-Thon team. From there, she went on to serve as a Knight-Thon captain for two years and Sergeant at Arms. Sophia loves volunteering at Winnie Palmer’s NICU. When she’s not on campus, you can find her exploring different coffee shops around Orlando!

Melanie has spent her time with AMSA as a director of Volunteering. In the same fashion, she volunteers at local free clinics and nonprofits and teaches as an assistant for several classes. She hopes to return to her South Florida home to open her own practice.

Zach started his AMSA journey as a Fundraising director his freshman year, followed by his time as a Wellness and Student Life director. Today, he spends his time recording new episodes of The Assist Podcast , his original podcast on everything pop culture. He’s your go-to to for everything Marvel and sports!

Biology (‘21)/Music and Medical Anthropology
As a freshman, “Jo” hit the ground running with her AMSA involvement by becoming a Historian director and Knight-Thon captain. She spends her time as a volunteer and assistant teacher at local children healthcare centers. If she’s not there or in class, then you can find her at Pop Parlour!

Soph joined us her first year at UCF. Since then, she has served as our Wellness and Student Life director. Outside of classes and AMSA, you can most likely catch her watching Netflix or playing IM sports. Soph eventually wants to work at a private practice back home in sunny South Florida or on a military base.

When she isn’t in class you can find Anna working as a research assistant at the Lake Nona campus or volunteering at local high schools coaching debate. As the captain of the UCF Debate Team, Anna is frequently traveling across the country to compete.
